The 1% for the Planet Ecochallenge was created to celebrate the value of collective action during our 20th anniversary. The challenge features four categories: Rights to Nature, Just Economies, Resilient Communities, and Conservation and Restoration — selected to show the diversity in ways to show up for people and the planet. In our first 20 years of operation, we’ve seen first hand how impactful collective action can be. One action may seem small, but when we look at the bigger picture, we see how change multiplies as more people commit to making a difference.
During the challenge, participants choose actions, complete those actions, and track and share their progress using this robust online platform. When they check off their completed actions, they earn points and see the real-time impact.
