Wanted to take some time to share with everyone my little terrarium of dart frogs.
I don't think this platform lets me upload videos, but I'll also link it here: Google Drive Video

    Update: Baron Brian Von Brentwood
He probably won't fully be ready to be moved into a hydropnic system by the end of this challenge, so wanted to give everyone an update on his progress. After just 10 days of damp paper towel in a baggie trick, he's already started to split and develop his baby roots.

If you were to use the toothpick method, this could take up to 3 months.

I wanted to share with everyone today one inspiring person from my childhood that sparked my love for nature, animals, and conservation. I'm not a big collector of things, but the only funko pop that I have actually purchased came all the way from Australia and is one of Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. I love his philosophy on educating people: "If we can teach people about wildlife, they will be touched. Share my wildlife with me. Because humans want to save things that they love." I think this quote will stay with me for the rest of my life.

From this very tiny avo seed, we'll welcome Baron Brian Von Brentwood, a new member of the avocado family!

For best results when trying to grow an avocado plant from an avo pit:
1.) peel the outer brown paper-like layer
2.) wrap it loosely in a wet paper towel
    3.) seal it in a air-tight container
4.) store away in a cool dark place for 2-3 weeks

After that, little roots should start developing. Once they are 2-3 inches long, you can transfer them into a hydroponic system (much like Amadeus). They can stay hydroponic their entire lives (but most likely will not fruit if that is the case).

We'll check back with Baby Baron in a couple weeks!
