Todd A Barneck 8/11/2023 8:15 AMVegetable gardens are a little tough at first, but once those sprouts take off, they are full speed ahead. -
Kianna J 8/11/2023 8:35 AMLooking good! -
Aaron Liu 8/11/2023 8:31 AMLove it! If you're not doing this already, give starting the seeds in cell trays or soil blocks a try. It extends your growing season, gives you some options if some of your plants fail, and your seedlings will be more protected from pests and weather at their most vulnerable phase! -
Ruby Lin 8/11/2023 9:48 AMZucchini? -
Michael O'Neil 8/11/2023 9:19 AMNice work, thanks for sharing! -
Jose Moreno 8/11/2023 8:23 AMThis is really cool. :)

Aaron Liu 8/10/2023 2:45 PMNow that we're coming to the end of the EcoChallenge, is there a lifestyle change you think will stick? Or something you'll be more conscious about? I'll go first. The hidden water usages in our life sometimes exceed the obvious ones. For instance it can take up to 2,600 gallons of water to produce a pair of jeans. That's more water than an average person uses for laundry in a YEAR. Reducing the amount of unnecessary clothes we buy and repairing the clothes we already have goes a long way to save freshwater for the planet. Especially since the cotton farms and denim factories are usually in impoverished areas which lack clean water.-
Ruby Lin 8/11/2023 9:50 AMI'm determined to not buy in to "fast fashion," as much as possible. Yes its cheap and convenient, but is it worth the damage to our earth for my own personal satisfaction? Not quite. Taking better care of clothing, and repairing and repurposing as much as possible is the way to go! -
Jose Moreno 8/11/2023 8:23 AMI agree with this 100%.
Personally, I want to be more conscious of how I am utilizing the 3 R's. I want to continue to recycle and reuse things in my home that can utilized in such a way. Reducing my footprint is another goal of mine, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to learn different ways to accomplish that.

Jose Moreno 8/10/2023 10:21 AMAs this challenge finishes up, I am very grateful for all that I have learned. This has honestly made me a lot more conscious of the impact that I truly have on the planet. Although I am just one person, I have a lot of ability to make changes. Even if they are small ones, everything counts! Thank you all for allowing me to partake in this experience. I am excited to continue to put all of these items into practice, and try to make a difference even if it's just a small one.-
Jose Moreno 8/11/2023 11:01 AMBig facts @ruby -
Ruby Lin 8/11/2023 9:47 AMMy philosophy is that if everyone did something little a day to help the planet, that would be 7.8 billion little things and that's pretty amazing.

Kianna J 8/10/2023 9:10 AMThey are a little hard to see in the grass & gravel (don't mind the spot I need to mow still), but those little blobs are baby quail chicks, alongside their dad & mama 💚
